You are the best thing that happens to the world, and there is nothing you can do that will make people feel better about themselves. Sure, you can take a vacation or something, or maybe you can cut some shit. Or maybe you can just go do something useful. But that won’t make the world feel better.

The zodiac is a good example of the kind of behaviour that can be considered self-centered. It’s also a good example of the kind of behaviour that can cause people to start acting selfishly and self-destructively. The way the zodiac is written is so that you are supposed to do good things for others. Which is fine. You can do that. But the point is that it is more about you than the people you care about. Which is cool.

The bad thing about self-centered behaviour is that it often leads to it being the person doing the good deeds that is not doing the best. In the zodiac there is a lot of writing about the importance of altruism. The idea that the best way to win people over is to do good for them, which then leaves you to feel good about yourself. This is very bad for the self-concept. When we look at our own behaviour, we tend to take pride in it.
