It’s easy to overlook the signs associated with the three levels of self-guessing, but I’m confident that those are still the most important. In fact, there’s something about the self-assurance level that’s hard to ignore. We need to keep the self-assurance out of our thoughts because we’re going to have to keep an eye on our feelings when we’re feeling anxious.

One of the most important things about our own self-awareness is the ability to exercise some self-awareness when we feel something and act. Like during the first five minutes of a game where you get to act the part of being the hero. You know the script and the parts you will never have to do but you’re still the hero and you’re still the one that needs to get the girl.

The point being here is that when we feel anxious and act on our feelings, we create anxiety. So to reduce anxious feelings we need to be able to reduce our anxiety. What this means is that we need to be able to recognize when we’re feeling anxious and act on it.

Anxiety is a response that occurs when we feel some type of threat or a threat is present. So it’s about recognizing that we are anxious and reacting to that anxious state.
